WHAT: A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show, is an art exhibit displaying the work of black women artists from across Greater Atlanta utilizing varying forms of creative expression. Showcasing over 50 exhibitors and live artists, this occasion celebrates black women, the strength in our diversity, and the power in our unity. In addition to art on display and for sale, the show will include live musical performances, with sounds by celebrity DJ Stormy and interactive design stations. The show will be emceed by Philly’s own Commissioner Danielle P. Jeter of Women In Media GLOBAL. Refreshments will be provided by Local Green Atlanta. A full bar will also be available! Guests can expect an inspiring and uplifted atmosphere filled with art while taking into account all COVID-19 safety precautions as well as social distancing. 

WHERE: Westside Cultural Arts Center || 760 10th Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

WHEN: Sunday July 12, 2020 @ 5pm – 11pm 

WHY: September 2019, the show was launched in Atlanta, GA inspired by a mission to create unique opportunities for aspiring black woman visual artists and artisans. Since then, BGAS has created exposure for more than 150+ artists and support amongst art lovers in the city of Atlanta and abroad. “During these unprecedented times we’re all currently experiencing, art still brings joy! As artists, our role has always been to give our world a creative lens into possibilities and hope. I’m excited to bring together and exhibit over 50+ Black woman artists on July 12th while giving our community a necessary mental break through art, expression, and connection.” – Joshua Dingle, Founder & Curator 

FEATURED ARTISTS: 

  • Brea Brea – a modern-day orator.
  • Ayanna – Singer, Songwriter, Actress & Model from Atlanta, GA.    
  • Therapy is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, lyricist and writer from Atlanta, GA. 
  • Angel White, a soulful singer and songwriter currently building her career in the ATL.
  • Houston native, Symone Royale is a singer and songwriter with a funk sound pursuing her dreams in Atlanta, GA.  
  • Being a versatile entertainer came naturally to Coley Gilchrist, the multi-talented 20 year old from Conyers GA, a contemporary R&B & Pop singer.

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines: To keep all parties safe, all ticket holders have the option of purchasing tickets for any one of the three time slots Time slots include 5pm – 7pm, 7pm – 9pm, or 9pm – 11pm. Event goers will have two hours to enjoy the festivities before the next group of guests arrive and others are ushered out. No tickets will be available at the door, advance ticket sales only.
